Krystal Campos is a journalist and video producer based in the DMV with six years of experience in the field. She produces, shoots, and edits news videos, digital explainers, and political coverage.

Krystal works at POLITICO, where she creates multimedia content on the intersection of politics, policy, and power. As a video journalist in a fast-paced newsroom, she transforms complex political stories into visually compelling narratives—crafting explainers, editing interviews, and producing on-the-ground coverage of major events. She also works on video podcasts, collaborating with interviewers and insiders from Washington’s biggest political players.

Prior to POLITICO, Krystal was a production intern at Univision Washington, where she played a pivotal role in ensuring live broadcasts ran smoothly. She was responsible for translating and scripting content for the newscast, as well as supporting the production team with video editing, coordinating studio logistics, and managing content for both broadcast and digital platforms.

 

Krystal graduated from George Mason University and American University.
